How does Cadspec ensure data security during a Vault upgrade?

Before upgrading, Cadspec will either directly or with the client verify backups through the ADMS console and place copies of backup data to the new server (if required). Once the upgrade is completed, we will confirm system functionality and set up an independent automatic backup. There is also a series of testing post upgrade to ensure all data has been transferred correctly. Prior to upgrade, we will liaise with the client and check all hardware and software specifications meet Autodesk’s recommendations.

Why is proper Vault implementation important?

If not done correctly, a Vault upgrade can result in data loss, and workflow issues for the design team. Cadspec ensures the system is set up to align with a company’s unique requirements, improving efficiency and integration across the business. Autodesk always recommends that Vault upgrades are carried out by Autodesk certified experts such as ourselves.

How does Cadspec determine the best Vault Lifecycle setup for a company?

Before implementation, Cadspec requires a “Vault Lifecycle Flow Map” to analyse the current process. This enables Cadspec to recommend the right Vault setup for engineering efficiency and business integration.

What support does Cadspec provide after implementing Vault?

After the initial setup, Cadspec follows up within 6 weeks to make any necessary adjustments. Further lifecycle modifications can be handled internally after Vault training. Cadspec also offer comprehensive support contracts and yearly Vault upgrade plans.
